Mother and Baby

"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born.

She never existed before.

The women existed, but the mother never.

A mother is something absolutely new."

Postnatal Support

"Liz's support was invaluable!"

~

"I was happy with everything Liz did and now a more informed mum than average"

I understand how those first few weeks after giving birth can be overwhelming, and that each mother's journey is unique and requires different levels of support. That is why I offer personalised care tailored to your individual needs.

As your postnatal doula, I can be available as often or as little as you need, from a few hours to several days a week. I can help you to navigate the challenges that come with being a new mother, offering reassurance and a non-judgmental ear, provide practical support and information, and offer guidance and signposting as needed.

Whether you need emotional support, help with household tasks, support whilst caring for your newborn or, someone to care for your baby while you rest, shower, or take a break, I am here. I can carry out light household chores such as laundry, dusting, vacuuming, or cooking nutritious meals and snacks, allowing you to focus on recovering and bonding with your baby.

As an infant feeding peer supporter, I can support you as you establish feeding, whether you choose to breastfeed, bottle/formula feed, or a combination of both. I can also provide information around infant sleep and behaviour, along with signposting you to other services and resources as required, so you can feel reassured and confident as you adjust to you new role.

Overall, my aim is to provide you with nurturing support to meet your needs so that you can feel empowered and confident, comfortable and relaxed during this special time in your life. With my help, you can take the time you need to recover from birth, bond with your baby, and adjust to your new role as a mother.
